When leadership magazine Chef released the nominees for Best HR Leader of the year, SVP HR & Sustainability Lena Bjurner got listed one of three with a chance of becoming Best HR Leader.
Scandic Hotels has received numerous awards and nominations for its leadership during the last few years and the credit for that goes to our 18.000 team members who make our culture and values come alive. Lena has together with the HR-team spearheaded the work with culture, leadership and learning across our 280 hotels and the support offices. The focus is to provide the best possible hotel experience for all guests and the key to that is that they meet Scandic Team Members who are decision makers with a close connection to our culture and values.
The jury’s motivation:
Through her presence, business-focused HR-work and attention to development and service, this leader has made her mark throughout her organization and its ways of working. She is clear, energetic, present and has shown the way through natural and successful leadership, in a fast moving and competitive landscape with a need for customer focus, which doesn’t make it easier.
