Scandic one of Sweden’s 30 most sustainable brands according to digital influencers

November 17, 2015 | 09:00 CET | Categories: General press releases | Non regulatory

The most important digital influencers within the area of sustainability on Twitter have named Scandic as one of Sweden’s 30 most sustainable brands according to the Sustainability Engagement Mapping 2015 study.

The study was based on tweets published by the best-ranked influencers in social media during the last 12 months.

Sustainable Brand Insight and Whispr Group studied Twitter to identify the companies that perform best in the area of sustainability according to the experts. Scandic placed 24 out of 100 well-known companies.

“We have received several awards during the year and have worked actively to share our sustainability efforts through initiatives such as our integration work for chefs, our organic children’s menu and our hotels that have been recertified to comply with new, stricter Nordic Ecolabel requirements. It is, of course, extremely gratifying that the highest-ranked digital influencers on Twitter have picked up on these efforts as well as Scandic’s well-known sustainability initiatives over the years,” says Inger Mattsson, Sustainability Director at Scandic.
