Scandic Hotels will launch Scandic Go in Norway by converting the existing Scandic Grensen hotel in Oslo into the country’s first Scandic Go hotel. By rebranding the centrally located 96-room hotel, Scandic will broaden its offering in Norway to meet the demand in the growing economy segment. The new hotel is expected to open during the first half of 2026.

On December 1, 2025, the Comfort Hotel Victoria in downtown Florø will change its name to Scandic Victoria Florø. The Helle family, which currently owns the hotel, will continue to operate under the Scandic brand according to a franchise agreement. The hotel will be Scandic’s 19th franchise hotel – an important part of the company’s long-term growth strategy.

Scandic Hotels Group AB (publ) (“Scandic”) has entered into a framework agreement with a consortium consisting of Pandox AB and Eiendomsspar AS (the “Consortium”) with the intention to acquire the hotel operations of Dalata Hotel Group Plc (“Dalata”) from the Consortium (the “Transaction”). Proceeding with the Transaction is conditional upon completion of the Consortium’s takeover of Dalata, which was announced today, a separation of Dalata’s real estate and operating businesses and necessary regulatory approvals. Upon completion of the Transaction, Scandic will add 56 new hotels to its portfolio with around 12,000 additional rooms and a further pipeline of approximately 1,900, mainly across Ireland and the UK. For the financial year ended 31 December 2024, Dalata reported revenue of EUR 652.2 million; operating profit of EUR 158.5 million; and basic earnings per share of EUR 35.5 cent.

Scandic is continuing to expand in Germany by signing a new hotel in Hamburg, the country’s largest and Europe’s third-largest harbor. The hotel, which will have approximately 430 rooms, will offer guests an exclusive experience with a lounge, rooftop bar, fitness center and terrace on the top floor with a spectacular view of the vibrant city.
