Scandic is continuing to grow selectively in Germany by partnering with property investors to reposition existing hotel assets in strong markets. Scandic has now signed a long-term lease agreement with the German real estate investment manager Union Investment and will open a centrally located hotel in one of Europe’s most important business destinations, Frankfurt. The hotel will be repositioned and upgraded to Scandic’s brand and operational standards before reopening in 2027.

Scandic has secured a new long-term financing framework totalling SEK 7.5 billion. The financing supports Scandic's continued growth strategy, including the planned acquisition of Dalata Hotel Group, while further strengthening the Group's financial flexibility.

In the Arctic region of Northern Norway, in the small coastal town of Finnsnes, Scandic will open a new franchise hotel in summer 2028. The establishment will further strengthen Scandic’s position in Northern Norway and its offering to both leisure and business travelers.

Scandic continues to strengthen its offering to the urban traveler through the opening of its first two new Scandic Go hotels in Finland just ahead of the busy summer season. The hotels, strategically positioned in Turku and Oulu, will together offer more than 280 new hotel rooms. The openings are part of Scandic’s strategy to grow in selected markets while continuously developing its offering to meet evolving guest needs.
