Sustainability at the core

Scandic Hotels Group has a long history of driving sustainable development within the hotel industry. Reporting sustainability data began already in 1996, years before it became a standard industry practice.

The sustainability journey

Sustainability is a central part of the business strategy. As one of Northern Europe's leading hospitality companies, Scandic Hotels Group has both the opportunity and the responsibility to influence, drive change, and inspire a more sustainable future for the entire industry. The introduction of the “hang up your towel” concept in 1993 marked a significant step in Scandic’s sustainability journey.
