Scandic is continuing to grow selectively in Germany by partnering with property investors to reposition existing hotel assets in strong markets. In Freiburg, Scandic is collaborating with pan-European real estate investment manager IREMIS, which has acquired the real estate from the current owner, while Scandic signs a long-term lease agreement. The project adds a new destination, strengthens Scandic’s presence in Germany and demonstrates the company’s ability to unlock value through refurbishment, operations and sustainability-led repositioning.

Scandic is continuing to grow selectively in Germany by partnering with property investors to reposition existing hotel assets in strong markets. Scandic has now signed a long-term lease agreement with the German real estate investment manager Union Investment and will open a centrally located hotel in one of Europe’s most important business destinations, Frankfurt. The hotel will be repositioned and upgraded to Scandic’s brand and operational standards before reopening in 2027.

Scandic has secured a new long-term financing framework totalling SEK 7.5 billion. The financing supports Scandic's continued growth strategy, including the planned acquisition of Dalata Hotel Group, while further strengthening the Group's financial flexibility.
