Scandic’s President & CEO Frank Fiskers has been nominated in the Oscars of the hotel industry, The Hotelier of the World Awards. Fiskers has been recognized for his leadership and efforts to develop the Scandic Group into the Nordic region’s largest and leading hotel company and an exemplary hotel company in many other dimensions.
For almost 40 years, the Hotelier of the World prize has been presented to draw attention to individuals’ achievements in the hospitality industry. The prize is awarded to individuals who in different ways define new standards, demonstrate superior hotel management, creative leadership and positive performance or otherwise, or who in other ways are role models in the global hotel industry.
Frank Fiskers was nominated for the fact that under his leadership, Scandic has taken important strategic steps, nearly doubling in size and becoming the absolute leading hotel company in the Nordic region with close to 230 hotels in operation and under development with almost 30 percent of market share. Frank Fiskers was also recognized for Scandic’s IPO as well as for his work within CSR and diversity.
The award ceremony will take place in New York in November 2016.
