Scandic to open a large international hotel in Kødbyen

Scandic Hotels, the largest hotel operator in the Nordic countries, will open yet another large international hotel in the spring of 2018. The hotel, which will be located in the center of Copenhagen’s “meatpacking district” – Kødbyen – will be designed with the history and urban character of the area in mind and will provide a vibrant meeting place for both guests and Copenhageners alike.

With 370 rooms planned, the new large hotel in Kødbyen will be a welcome addition to Copenhagen’s hotel market. The hotel will encompass a total of close to 15,500 m2 with 1,900 m2 designated for meeting and restaurant facilities. The design of the hotel will be characterized by the area’s past industrial history blended with today’s lively atmosphere and pulse. The meeting spaces will also showcase creative solutions and avant-garde design. – The new hotel in Kødbyen will be a unique international hotel for Copenhageners and guests alike. Continued positive growth for hotel operations in Copenhagen
